Designed by Engineer Roberto Starkel, the MD53 Power yacht is the evolution of the MD51, the first power yacht produced by the Maxi Dolphin, but MD53 has the high level of customization. As is always the case with its motoryachts, in this case also shipyard has gone full-out in terms of absolute personalisation.
Aside from the stern, the boat passed through the sophisticated construction customization with the result of round-shaped transom, two feet extension of the hull, the newly designed carbon fiber hard top, with side sliding windows, and the cockpit with a pantograph opening door, that reminds on a small private jet. Among other refined design details are the swim platform and open air sun-bathing area with wood finish.
The interior reflects Maxi Dolphin’s exclusive philosophy of its superb workmanship. It is a completely customizable, in terms of layout (with a dinette, a galley, two bathrooms and just one large cabin to keep with the 53’s vocation as a fast day cruiser), traditional materials (leather sofas and upholstery, suede and lacquered units), technology (carbon-fibre table and flooring), illumination and electrical devices.
The engine set-up in this case is made up of twin 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS 600s which also deliver improved acceleration and a top speed of 35 knots.
