Vogue’s eagerly-awaited September issue will have whopping 916 pages will be Vogue’s biggest issue ever! Thus, fashion bible has broke previous record from September 2007, with 76 more pages. This special edition with Lady Gaga on the cover is scheduled to hit newsstands on August 21, to mark the influential Condé Nast title’s 120th anniversary.
“It is our biggest issue ever,” a Vogue spokeswoman told AFP, although the fact is not trumpeted on a cover that promises “916 pages of spectacular fall fashion for all.”
Weighing nearly 2.27 kilograms (five pounds), the former record-setter, September 2007 issue , was the subject of documentary film by director R.J.Cutler in 2009. The same one was the last Vogue to come out before the collapse of Lehman Brothers prompted the worst U.S. economic downturn since the Great Depression.
Pop diva, Lady Gaga posted the issue’s cover, shot by Mert and Marcus, on her new social networking site LittleMonsters.com few days ago, and tried to act as if she was leaking it.
