Just when you think that Swarovski crystals found their application in every possible surface, these powerful decorative elements emerge on some new and unexpected place. This time the subject of their embellishments are wide range of helmets for motorcycling, cycling, horseback riding, and skiing. If you missed a chance to see helmets with Swarovski Elements created by many international brands on their premiere show at New York’s Accessorie Circuit Fair from August 5-7, 2012, you can catch them at the “Timeless Stage” exhibition, held at Swarovski’s Crystal Worlds in Wattens, Austria, from September to November 2012.
Depending on design you prefer, you can choose among five major Italian brands: Andrea Cardone’s genuine leather motorcycle helmets designed in hues of Italian flag shining with Swarovski crystals; a wide range of helmets by Kask for bikers and skiers with their logo highlighted with Swarovski crystals; two models for motorcyclists by New Max called the ‘Groupie’ and the ‘Posh’ which features Alcantara inserts and crystal details; four style of Tonino Lamborghini’s horse-riding helmets with their iconic bull logo adorned with Swarovski crystals and Vespa’s new models , inspired waves, energy and light for its dazzling ‘GTS Crystal White’ and ‘Softouch Crystal Brown ETNA’, bringing radiance to the road.
If you prefer German brand CASCO, you may feel like a Greek God if wear riding hat ‘Spirit Peacock’ and ski helmet ‘SP-3 Peacock’ – both inspired by Argus, the watchman. Portugal’s NEXX has opted for the moon and stars as inspiration for their ‘Luna’, evoking the mystery of moonlight through Swarovski crystals sprinkled like a constellation in a shimmering night sky. French brand Samshield has come out with high-tech horse-riding helmet, which comes with a selection of crystal embellishments for individual styling. And, the last one – Danish company Yakkay, but no less notable brand, but on the contrary is even more important due to their design awards for its bike helmets with interchangeable covers: ‘Milano’ evokes a city night sky with a Milky Way spray of Swarovski crystals.
