When it comes King of rock and roll, even the weird memorabilia easy finds their way to some crazy fans. Of course, we are talking about Elvis Presley and yes, you see well, his stained and unwashed underpants, that could fetch £10,000 ($15,000) when they go under the hammer next month at the auction in Stockport, Cheshire.
King has wore this pair of underpants (obtained from the estate of Vernon Presley, Elvis’ father) onstage under one of his white jumpsuits in 1977. During his performance, he has practiced to wear a wide range of dazzling jumpsuits and such underpants that are almost invisible, without any lines.
Other, “normal” items as a part of huge collection of memorabilia connected to the King, going under the hammer on Saturday, September 8. Those memorabilia include King’s personal Holy Bible (with his handwritten notes and thoughts), which is expected to raise up to £25,000 ($40,000), couple of footage of some special family moments, a tail light from one of his sports cars, his personal handcuffs, a gun holster as well as his shoes. In fact, there will be something for everyone. Although I don’t know why, but stained underpants will be the star of the upcoming auction!
The full catalogue and auction will be streamed live from the auction room in Stockport via www.omegaauctions.co.uk on 8 September.
