In the US, you couldn’t find Lotus Exige, or the Exige S, but fortunately the new version of once of the most focused race cars – the Lotus Exige V6 Cup is ready for stateside, and is priced around $100,000! Who’s asking for the price, the only important thing is that it is available through Lotus dealer network in the U.S. as well as directly from Lotus Racing.
Lotus Exige V6 Cup, a track-only version of the Exige S sports car, is powered by a supercharged Toyota-derived V-6 making 345 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which resulted with a 70-mph top speed and a 3.8-second 0-to-60 time. Beside revised aerodynamically optimized front splitter, rear diffuser and wing, a track-ready car rides on a fully adjustable suspension that reaches the road with special wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tires. The Cup also includes full roll cage, HANS-compatible seats with four-or-six-point safety harnesses, isolator switches, FIA-approved fire extinguisher, tow points and a removable steering wheel.
Lotus will be offering two separate versions of the Exige V6 Cup, a Track Day version – limited to just 20 units, that will cost you $98,900 and an even more hardcore Competition-Spec car with the price tag of $117,700.
