Continuing its practice of taking already exciting cars and turning them into more powerful miracles, Hennessey has taken its Cadillac’s CTS-V coupe and transformed it into the VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe. And only 12 specimens will be built during the course of 2013, and each will feature upgrades to the engine, interior, exterior, aerodynamics, suspension, and brake.
Hennessey took the basic 6.2 liter V8 LSA engine out of the CTS-V Coupe and replaced it with a 7.0 liter V8 engine which produces incredible 1,226 bhp. Other upgrades include forged steel crank and con rods, forged alloy pistons, 15.1 inch ceramic rotors, gas-flowed cylinder heads, a special Hennessey camshaft, upgraded fuel-injection system and two turbochargers with twin ball-bearing impeller shafts and billet impellers.
The car’s interior features a luxurious alcantara headliner, a special leather upholstery with contrasting stitching and the Hennessey logo embroidered on the head restraints, carbon-fibre sill-plates, and special Hennessey branded floor-mats.
