Recently unveiled at the 2012 paris international motor show, new Maserati GranCabrio MC is essentially same as its predecessor GranTurismo MC Stradale, but with some particular upgrades adjusted to this cool convertible. More aggressive front fascia, and revised nose and bumper resulted in convertible’s overall length of 52 milimeters (2 inches) longer than the standard model. The GranCabrio MC also features reworked adaptive headlights with LED daytime running lights, and a rear spoiler that provides up to a 25 percent increase in downforce at high speeds.
Inside, the GranCabrio MC includes a carbon-fiber frame, where redesigned seats are more aggressively bolstered and offer more legroom (20mm) for the rear passangers. Also, new sound system emerged as collaboration between Maserati and British audio specialists Bowers $ Wilkins, will produce the highest-grade in-car audible experience.
Under the hood, buyers will find the 4.7-liter V8 engine, which delivers 460 horsepower with 520-lb-ft of torque. Mated with a six-speed ZF automatic transmission for smooth shifting, the car reaches a top speed of 289 km/h (180 mph) with acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 4.9 seconds.
