Finally something that can cheer and make the job easier for all guitarists. Fender has just introduced the Squier Strat Guitar – a new guitar that offers USB & iOS Connectivity, and allows connects directly to and records to an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Windows-based computer.

The new Squier Strat features Type Mini-B USB connector offering bi-directional audio streaming and a high-quality headphone amplifier with volume control to monitor your sound in USB mode, so eliminates the need for having to connect the guitar to a bigger amp. But, also it can be played like any normal electric guitar, since it has a 1/4″ passive guitar output and can be plugged in to your amp, too.
The guitar also comes with miniUSB-to-USB and miniUSB-to-30-pin connector cables. (If you have the newest version of the iOS devices, you’ll need a Lightning-to-30-pin adapter.) Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, pickup select switch, pickup volume control, pickup tone control, and a headphone volume control.
