Swiss luxury watchmaker added one more impressive model to its already stunning Duometre family, this time in a limited edition travel-time watch in white gold called the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time. The watch was just unveiled at a press conference in Paris by Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Jerome Lambert.
New travel time watch is based on the dual-wing concept of the Duomètre-line, which is one escapement but two independent operating gear trains and two barrels. This watch with a new movement, is so special because you may adjust your second timezone, comply independent from your hometime, since one gear train is used to show the hometime and the second gear train is used to show a second timezone.
The day and night indicator in the form of globe and hour disc are positioned at 6 o’clock for easy reading and two magnificent counters are arranged symmetrically, giving this watch a perfect balance. Specially for this model, the digital numbers 7 and 9 are specially applied in red pay tribute to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique at Place Vendôme, Paris, while at 2 o’clock is the hour and minute for home time and at 10 o’clock the hour and minutes of the worldtime. The caliber 383 features 498 individual parts and is finished completely by hand.
The case of the Duomètre Unique Travel Time watch is 42mm in diameter and 13.65mm thick, and is available in 18K white gold with the price of €37,500 ($48,000).
