Riva story began back in 1842, when young skilled carpenter Pietro Riva arrived in Sarnico, in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, and opened his shipyard there. Now, 170 years later, Italian brand Riva, part of the Feretti group unveils the 122′ (37m) motor yacht Mythos – its largest yacht ever built. Beside this acknowledgment, Mythos is also the first aluminium boat by Riva shipyard!
Construction of the Mythos is entrusted to he Ancona-based yard CRN, which is also part of the Feretti group and built Riva’s large yachts in the 1950s and 1960s, while for designing is in charge Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design, who designed the whole of the current range of Rivas, working closely with Ferretti’s Advanced Yacht Design team.
“This craft comes from instincts, this is why it will be awarded. The careful but not aggressive design will make this yacht a milestone of the nautical sector, just like Aquariva, Rivarama, Rivale, which are still being produced after so many years post-launch,”says Micheli.
More than 37 metre long and 7.60 metre wide, Mythos yacht is designed to offer maximum comfort for up to ten guests in the three possible layouts, with three, four or five cabins according to the owner’s request. It boasts a large main deck cockpit with a large and comfortable sun pad and a table big enough for ten people, the salon and dinnete that features large windows with an amazing panoramic view and a flybridge.
The lower deck, amidships, hosts the owner’s suite and the guest cabins while the crew area (one captain cabin and two twin crew cabins) is located to the bow.
Of course, luxury yacht can’t be imagined without a Jacuzzi swimming pool surrounded by wide sun-bathing sofas, in this case with a dinette area and foldable table.
122 foot superyacht Mythos is powered by a pair of MTU diesels from the 4000 Series and have a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots.
