Only a few months after the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Azimut Yachts and Atlantis have some more new developments to present in the United States. Atlantis will be unveiling its brand new Verve Outboard, its own interpretation of the walkaround with outboard motor. For Azimut Yachts this will be the American debut of the Magellano 43 K Fly version in Miami K along with the sporty Azimut 55S and the Azimut 54. Lastly, the bestselling Azimut 70 will be on stage at the event with new décor.
OUTBOARD ATLANTIS VERVE
First of all, the outboard version of the Atlantis Verve, which has faced a new challenge to respond to American tastes and the US market: maintaining all the features of the Verve in terms of internal subdivision of space and living comfort – the separate cabins and outdoor spaces are unchanged– with the power and performance of three Mercury 300 hp outboard motors and all the benefits this kind of motor has to offer, including easy maintenance. The principal new features include replacement of the engine room with space for the peak and elimination of the fibreglass top, replaced by a sportier windshield. An optional fibreglass hard top (T-Top) is also available to shelter the rudder area and the outdoor galley.
AZIMUT MAGELLANO 43
Preceded by the innovative scope of the 76 and the commercial success of the 50, the new Magellano 43 is the latest addition of the Magellano Collection. Within 13 meters is a concentration of all of the features of the collection: smooth navigation in all conditions and excellent cruising range. This Italian style trawler is particularly appreciated for boating not only in open sea. Available in two versions – Flybridge and Hard Top – to meet owners different needs, the new Magellano 43 HT is also particularly suited for inland waters navigation. Encouraged by the positive response of the critics and the public alike, the Azimut Magellano 43 Fly,which won the “2012 Editor s Choice Award” presented by AIM Marine Group – publisher of some of Americas most authoritative and prestigious yachting magazines at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, is back in Miami. The Magellano 43 is finalist for the European Powerboat of the Year 2013 (EPY 2013) award.
AZIMUT 55S
Azimut Yachts’s S collection of sporty motoryachts shows off one of its most precious jewels in Miami: the ’55S,’ a model presented at the European boat shows at the end of last summer. It is a yacht that revolutionises the traditional spaces with a new layout that sees the three cabins dedicated to the owner and guests located amidships, offering comfort and larger volumes, and with crew cabin positioned in the bows. There are also new spaces above deck: towards the bows with a sofa looking forward, separated from the large sundeck, and aft with the introduction of the pivoting platform that becomes a 4 sqm seafront terrace. As for the performance, the revolution starts from the engine room, that houses a triple Volvo IPSN1 system: compared to the same power output from just two engines, the triple installation makes it possible to reduce bulk and length. Moreover, three motors instead of two offer plenty of benefits: at comparable horse power, three engines weigh less than two, consume less than two and produce fewer emissions. The overall reduction in weight has been possible also thanks to the extensive use of pure carbon fibre and glassNcarbon composite for structural parts and for the keel.
AZIMUT 54
The Azimut 54, heir to the bestNseller 53, is the most obvious example of how to replicate the fortune of a highly successful boat model. Unveiled to the world at the recent Genoa Boat Show, the Azimut 54 features new external design with a decidedly sporty look and all the elegance of its parent model, from which it inherits solid experience in structures and systems. It’s the new living solutions that make the difference, though, with a new layout on the upper deck to make the living room and dinette more practical. The lower deck is still the bestseller in its category, with a configuration including three cabins and two bathrooms featuring unmatched ceiling height.
AZIMUT 70 – ZEBRAWOOD DECOR
The Azimut 70 offers plenty of space and rare beauty thanks to features such as the most complete lower deck in its category, with 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms, and the biggest flybridge in its category N 30 sqm for living between the sea and the sky. With more than 15 sqm of glass surfaces through which light pours into the interior and balanced forms that should set the standard for the entire sector, the 70 has been always a reference point in its category. Both models will be presented to the US market for the first time with a new décor featuring Zebrawood, Luna Avorio fabric ceilings and Bufalo Magnolia print leather furnishings, a solution designed specifically for the local market on the request of Marine Max, exclusive Azimut Yachts importer and dealer for the United States, and Atlantis dealer for all of the US except Florida.
The extension of the Group’s partnership with MarineMax was announced at the recent Fort Lauderdale Boat Show and strengthened the union of two key players on the world yacht market. The presentation of all these important novelties in Miami reflects the strategic importance of the US market for Azimut|Benetti Group, which became Europe’s first shipyard to sell its boats in the US several years ago and where is now based in a 5,000 square feet headquarter with its own staff and a spareNparts warehouse of one million US$ value: a warrant of high reliability for the shipowner.
Sales to United States now represent a significant share of the Italian shipyard’s revenues, and the Group intends to continue serving the complex, mature US market in the future with its sales philosophy combining an outstanding product with excellent sales and post-sales service.
