This year wasn’t so good for Mercedes Formula 1 Team in World Championship, but former glory in past years inspired IWC Schaffhausen to make the watches modeled on the prestigious brand. Official sponsor of Mercedes Petronas Formula 1 team has released on the market a collection of four IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer, specifically designed for the Mercedes F1 Team. With beautiful looks and sharp lines these models resemble the silver arrow in their pinnacle, so that those who can’t sit in the car and feel the passion and power of Mercedes can be comforted with this stunning timepieces.
The series covers timepieces with 45 mm steel cases measuring 15 mm in thickness. They are powered by brand new automatic mechanical IWC movement caliber 89361, a flyback chronograph with small hacking seconds. The timepiece boasts a single totalizer which measures chronograph hours and minutes. The recorded minutes and hours are nicely combined in the top totalizer, which features two hands and can be read off similarly to an analogue display.
The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer series includes four models:
- IW378507: stainless-steel case, slate-colored dial, black rubber strap with textile inlay, pin buckle in stainless steel
