Inspired by the tradition of attaching a padlock to the Pont des Arts in Paris (and other bridges around the world with the same tradition) and throwing the key to the water, French fashion house Louis Vuitton has created the most romantic jewelry collection, called “Lockit”.
This collection epitomises both of love and attachment, such as legend of the Luzhkov bridge in Moscow, the Milvius bridge in Rome, Le Ponte Vecchio in Florence and others symbolize the bond linking two lovers together. Intrinsically linked to the brand’s as a trunk maker, Louis Vuitton has reinterpreted its most recognizable symbol of the lock and the key in this Lockit jewelery collection.
The collection is composed of 15 different pieces (necklaces, rings and bracelets) in 18-karat white, rose and yellow gold, some with pavé diamonds. Minimal lines and padlocks are the main shapes. Also inspired by the padlocks on Louis Vuitton’s fall 2011 runway, a chunky choker style comes with a fully functional lock and key.
Louis Vuitton Lockit Collection is available across the world through Louis Vuitton stores.
