Audi has unveiled the first of four scheduled RS models in 2013. World premiere at the Motor Show in Detroit had the Audi RS7. Audi’s coupe-sedan has finally got its sporty RS version. This car Audi intends to oppose the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG.
Compared to the standard Audi A7, the RS model has a distinctive grille with black mesh honeycomb and large air vents at the ends of the front bumper, while the lower part of the rear bumper is a diffuser and two symmetrically oval tailpipes. Customers will be able to choose between the adaptive air suspension and sports suspension with variable ride control (Dynamic Ride Control). RS7 will be equipped with standard 20-inch alloy wheels, while the options available as special 21 inch wheels in three versions of the design. Ceramic brake discs can be obtained with the surcharge.
The interior of the Audi RS7 features beveled three-spoke steering wheel and high-quality materials, leather, aluminum and carbon fiber. Sports seats are available in two variants, combined Alcantara / leather or clear skin.
The Audi RS7 comes with 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8, which is taken from the new Audi RS6 Avant. Engine has 560 hp and a maximum torque of 700 Nm, and is associated with eight shift automatic transmission, which distributes power to all four wheels through Audi’s quattro system. Audi RS7 from 0 to 100 km / h reaches for 3.9 seconds, before reaching a maximum electronically limited 250 km / h. Limit can be raised to 280 km / h with the optional Dynamic pack, or at 305 km / h if the chosen charity Dynamic Plus package.
