Leica premieres at the Shot Show in Las Vegas the revolution of range finding binoculars – the new Geovid HD-B, which features the most innovative ballistic program available on the market.
The high-precision ABC (Advanced Ballistic Compensation) balistics programme of the Leica Geovid HD-B binoculars enables the precise determination of the point-of-aim correction and displays user-specific results within fractions of a second. And all this taking the ammunition specifics, angle, temperature and barometric pressure into account. In addition it will provide the relevant information in three different output formats for three different hunting applications (holdover values for standard reticles; click values for bullet drop compensators, equivalent horizontal distance for ballistic reticles).
The Geovid HD-B accesses an internal database with ballistic curves for practically all standard calibre ammunition. In addition, users can upload their own specific parameters for hand-loaded or special ammunition from a microSD memory card.
In addition to leading with new technological benchmarks, Leica Geovid HD-B binoculars were designed to set new standards in terms of ergonomics and handling. The binoculars offer perfect grip and holding characteristics that guarantee fatigue-free and comfortable handling, even when used for long periods. The controls (two-button control) are ergonomically located and ideally positioned for both left- and right-handed users.
The Leica Geovid HD-B models adapt to each hunter’s individual hunting style and provide optimum results in every situation, independent of the equipment used. This fusion of innovative concepts including High Definition (HD) optics, ABC ballistics programme, micro-SD memory card and comfort makes Leica Geovid the top binoculars.
