Piper-Heidsieck is not only one of the world’s favourite Champagnes, it’s also one of the greatest value-for-money authentic Champagne available. Since founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, this champagne has always been associated with the greats: from Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, to Marilyn Monroe, who famously claimed that she wore only a few drops of Chanel No. 5 perfume in bed, and began each morning with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck champagne. Now, French luxury brand has created the Bodyguard Rose Sauvage, perfect Champagne for Valentine’s Day, thanks to its its stunning, uber-luxurious exterior.
This limited edition drink stands out with hot pink crocodile-like skin that is a perfect replica of a crocodile’s scales, created using the latest thermoplastic elastomer technology. First, a Nile crocodile was scanned for twelve days and nights, and then the image was laser printed onto a steel mould, which was then filled with molten latex. This skin keeps champagne cooler for longer.
Inside this pinkish bottle, you’ll find Rosé Sauvage Champagne, made from the same award winning blend as Piper Brut NV (an exceptionally well balanced champagne – fresh and lively, with light aromas of citrus fruits and spring flowers) with the addition of red wines from the Côte des Bar which gives it an intense hue and a sumptuously fruity nose and rich mouthfeel.
The Piper-Heidsieck Bodyguard Rosé Sauvage is available from the Whisky Exchange for £39.95 ($63.20).
