Forget about Bugatti Veyron Supersport ($2.6 million), Ferrari 599XX ($2 million), Zenvo ST1 ($1.125 million), new luxury sports car – LykanHypersport comes from Beirut-based W Motors, the first Arab coach-builder of high performance luxury sports cars based in the Middle East. This Arab world’s first high-performance luxury sports car will be introduced at the Qatar Motor Show, opening on the 29th January. The price for this beauty is $3.4 million and there will only be seven units of the car produced making it world’s most exclusive sports car.
“When we initially set up the company in Beirut earlier this year, our launch event attracted thousands of people from the automotive industry, media, politicians, and VIPs,” said Lebanese-born Ralph Debbas, W Motors’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
“Not only did we herald in the formation of an exclusive automotive industry in the region, but I do believe that our first model, the LykanHypersport 2013, raises the bar for hypercars worldwide.”
2013 LykanHypersport is the result of six years of hard work of distinguished names in the automotive industry including RUF automobile, Studiotorino, Viotti, Magna Steyr Italia and ID4MOTION; all of them Italy based, a land with the heritage of producing the most iconic sports cars.
The car has the potential to go from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100km/h) in 2.8 seconds to reach the maximum speed of 242 mph (390 km/h), over 62 mph (100 km/h) faster than the take off speed of Airbus 380, the world’s largest commercial jet. It also comes with diamond -encrusted LED lights and gold-stitched interior leather, a reverse door opening system, a state-of-the-art 3D Virtual Holographic Display with Tactile Interaction, and an innovative ID4Motion Interactive Dashboard.
