Döttling, traditional manufacturer of finest antique and high security luxury safes from Maichingen, reached a new high by launching The Fortress. The Fortress is the safest luxury safe in the world, available in the certified security classes VdS/EN 3 to, and this is absolutely unique, VdS/EN 5.
Below the housing upholstered by hand with finest black calfskin, you’ll find high-security safe, that is certified for up to $1 million in insurance coverage if an optional burglar alarm is installed.
In the lower half of the safe, Döttling integrated eight watch winders, each individually programmable for direction, speed and duration. The German safe manufacturer uses a specially designed software for these winders, which are effectively housed in the “maximum security section,” which takes up approximately half of the safe’s height.
Inside the Fortress there is also a humidor made of original Spanish cedar, with an electronic humidifying system. A hygrometer and a barometer, both from Wempe, stylishly provide information about humidity and air pressure.
Finally, the upper section of the Fortress integrates a Döttling Colosimo two-door safe with additional two watch winders for six timepieces. And on the front is a Wempe Zeitmeister clock.
The corpus is upholstered by hand with finest black calfskin but it can also be delivered in other color combinations and configurations. Döttling offers a true bespoke service.
The dimensions of the Fortress are 1,238 x 670 x 515cm and it weights 495kg. It is limited to ten safes per security class. Price starts at $128,000.
