After The SLS AMG-inspired 46-foot Rider in 2010 and the C63 AMG Black Series-inspired 50-foot Marauder in 2012, Cigarette Racing Team and Mercedes-AMG continue their cooperation this year by bringing the 42-foot Huntress, luxury boat inspired by Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. The 42 Huntress is scheduled to make its debut on February 14, at the Miami International Boat Show.
Cigarette 42 Huntress represents the changes that have revolutionized the US market–bigger, more powerful engines and the desire for more space for more people on board. This luxury powerboat embodies Cigarette Racing’s performance hull with a lavish cabin and entertainment-centric deck, which means, just like the Mercedes SUV, boat can handle all types of terrain, the boat is able to handle “glassy seas” or “rough water environments” thanks to its compact and strong structure. Another common trait, according to the Huntress’ designers, is the agility and easy-handling that belies its size.
The boat features AMG badging as well as a luxurious deck with diamond-stitched leather seats. Design details include a specially built T-top, deck with hydraulic, ergonomic lounge seating, billet-laden helm station, console and luxurious, comfort-filled cabin. The boat’s cabin is relatively tight but comes nicely equipped with a galley and a day bed.
The power comes from five Mercury Racing Verado 350SCi engines that each develop 350 bhp (263 kW). This enables the model to hit a top speed of up to 78 mph (125 km/h) which is pretty impressive for a 42′ long boat that weighs 18,900 lbs (8,572 kg).
Cigarette Racing hasn’t announced pricing yet, but expected to be disclosed after its debut in Miami next week.
