Tom Ford went on an Orient adventure by launching new fragrance for the Middle East. Sahara Noir will be on-counter in selected travel doors across the region from March, before launching in Europe in May. Using the history and culture of the region, Tom Ford has created a rich and exotic new scent as tribute to the Middle East.
“Middle Eastern culture has an extraordinary appreciation for the luxurious, emotional and memorable qualities of fragrance; perfume is worn there in a way that feels very familiar to me. Sahara Noir is my interpretation of this heritage,” said Tom Ford.
This Oriental Floral fragrance for women has a top notes of bergamot, mandarin orange, violet, ginger and basil; middle notes are grapefruit blossom, orange blossom, tobacco and black pepper while the base notes are amber, cedar, patchouli, oakmoss and leather.
“It is a deep and substantial perfume that caresses the senses,”he added.
Sahara Noir is presented in a gold-coloured version of the Tom Ford signature fragrance bottle, made of metallised glass and finished with a golden name plaque. The flacon is packaged in a gold, fluted outer carton.
The perfume will come in a 50 ml size. There is no word yet on its price.
