To the astonishment of many, Fossil just came out with a new line of Swiss Made watches. Yes, you read that right – Swiss watches. Texas based, popular American mid-range brand, has ventured into the realms of Swiss made automatic watches to create a more upmarket image. The opinions are contradictory. While some connoisseurs of watches think it’s the incredible lack of substance with unclear Swiss movement, the others with less knowledge think it look pretty nice with plain design.
Described as a collection that’s exquisite, inside and out—the perfect union of American ingenuity and Swiss quality, it actually features a classically designed case construction and intricate Swiss movement (totally unclear explained).
The Fossil Swiss collection consists of three models, each with a few versions. The range includes Automatic, Chronograph and Day-date timepices with each watch boasting double-domed sapphire crystal and domed dials decorated with numerals and rectangular indexes. The watches are finished with open casebacks and feature either a full-grain leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
The collection, priced from £625 ($950) to £950 (1,450), will be available in Fossil store and online.
