In a pile of e-bikes that can be seen on offer these days, the M-1 ebike from Marrs Cycles certainly stands out. Its design is less about proper, compact bicycle chic as it is being a hot-rod inspired beast. Described as eager to be the Harley of e-bikes, the M-1 has every right to claim that name!
The company was founded by Kacy Marrs, whose influences come from a long history of riding bikes from bmx and motocross to Harleys. His business partner, Brad Fanshaw, formerly ran a company that built one-of-a-kind hot rods.

Similar to Fanshaw’s cars, the Marrs M-1 e-bikes are constructed in a built to order format. So, the specifications will all be different, depending on what the user wants. After all, money is your limit.
The M-1 uses a rechargeable lithium battery that can (in one charge) carry a 79kg (175 pounds) rider up to 32km (20 miles) without pedaling at all! The top motorized speed is 32km/hr (20 mph). The basic M-1 frame weighs about 64 kg (140 pounds) and is made from 4130 chromoly steel. Other components are a mixture of high-end motorcycle, bicycle, and custom-made parts. Frame color and the wood veneer are up to the buyer.
“This price is due to the high quality authentic motorcycle components we use and the labor involved in building our components,” Marrs said. “There is no other company that builds anything as close to a motorcycle while still allowing the product to fall under the electric bicycle category.”
But you can count on some $7,000 for this Harley’s counterpart.
