Even recovery from a hip surgery can be in style! For who else than for Lady Gaga. The 26-year old singer commissioned Ken Borochov, of luxury brand Mordekai to design wheelchair especially for her so that she could whizzing around New York City in a 24-carat gold plated wheelchair. Young Diva who has been forced to cancel the remaining 25 dates of her Born This Way Ball tour following her operation is now recovering in her recognizable eccentric style!
Gaga’s specialised wheels comes complete with a leather seat and removable canopy, as well as sporting a padded leg rest and gold-plated breaks. The chair can also go into a full recline position.
“I certainly wasn’t expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen,” Ken told the newspaper.
Last month, Poker Face star informed her Twitter followers that she was having to use a wheelchair after her surgery, affectionately naming her wheels Emma.
On Tuesday, photographer Terry Richardson posted a picture on his Twitter account of the star sitting in her new transportation.
