U.S. company Epic EV is partially revealed its new Roadster TORQ supposedly the fastest electric vehicle with three wheels in the world.
It is powered by an electric motor that develops from 400KS 812 Nm of torque, while the acceleration to 60mph takes just 4 seconds. The model was developed in cooperation with the Eleven Design, and equipped with the top suspension in the style of Formula 1, which produced Palatov Motorsports. For ultra lightweight chassis and battery system were in charge Magnum Offroad and Flux Power.
“In search of a more economic vehicle, we often wished for a model that distinguished aggressive styling, and that would be worthy of the racetrack. TORQ’s perfect balance of power, driveability and aggressive looks create its own class”, said Chris Anthony, founder of Epic EV.
TORQ Roadster is proof that you do not have to compromise performance to adopt energy saving and efficient technologies.
This year will be produced only 50 copies of this vehicle and the TORQ Roadster will be officially launched on April 6 and will retail for $65,000. A waiting list for 2014 is set up that anyone with a $5,000 deposit can join.
