London’s LN-CC, maybe the coolest concept store in the world has collaborated with the Eastern European accessories designer, Oliver Ruuger to present the most exclusive umbrella collection. After honing his craft producing exclusively made-to-order pieces, Ruuger has released his first complete retail collection of umbrellas in four distinct styles, commissioned especially for LN-CC.
Each umbrella is hand crafted by two artisan specialists, using a number of ultra-premium, carefully-sourced exotic materials such as calfskin, exotic leathers including Nile crocodile, Java and ring lizard, jet-black ebony wood and high-quality metal components (solid, black brass). Many intricate processes are used in the making of each umbrella. A black,’Oliver Ruuger’ label is sewn into the inside of the canopy as the final detail for each umbrella.
The collection is now available exclusively at LN-CC.com If you need to ask the price of these pieces, do not be shocked, it’s £1,575 ($2,400) for the Oliver Ruuger Nile Crocodile Handle Umbrella. And you’ll get one year of warranty. Just don’t let yourself to forget your umbrella somewhere.
Oliver Ruuger’s work ranges from bespoke briefcases to umbrellas, all of which feature a bold, sculptural execution rarely seen across such traditional items. Working entirely out of his small workshop in London, Oliver Ruuger’s work has also been exhibited in several museums and galleries, including the Museum of Modern Art in Rome and the Zabludowicz Collection in London.
