Illusion, the 88m yacht, the biggest-volume superyacht ever constructed in China is listed for sale by Fraser Yachts for $89.5 million. This mammoth craf is currently under construction at the Raffles Shipyard in China and is scheduled for delivery mid‐2015.
Naval architecture is by Azure Naval Architects, a studio also responsible for the design of some of the largest yachts in the world, including Seven Seas, Alfa Nero, Cakewalk and Anastasia. Illusion holds a beam of 15.6m which creates a huge volume over six spacious decks. The exterior styling was by RSD, a design firm that has designed a variety of yachts up to 170m in length.
For the modern, elegant and Asian-inspired interior design was in charge renowned Sander Sinot, whose design skills also created the lavish interiors of the 78m Feadship superyacht Musashi and Fountainhead. Illusion can accommodate 14 guests in seven large staterooms. Inside, you’ll find a lot of stone work incorporated along with pattern wooden fixtures and high gloss finishes. The lighting is perfect, which gives the owner the ability to choose the ambiance and set the lighting accordingly.
This China’s largest superyacht ever built will be propelled by two 3,000hp Rolls Royce diesel-electric engines with a predicted top speed of 14 to 17 knots.
Fraser Yachts will be displaying a model of the 88m Illusion at the upcoming Hainan Rendez-Vous (running from March 30th – 2nd April) in Sanya, with more details about this project.
