Originally constructed in the 19th-century as a hunting lodge, and has since been converted into a luxury getaway – Lakshman Sagar Resort is new hotel in Rajasthan. Indian chic set over 32 acres of land in Raipur. The resort is a settlement of a 12 spacious (about 900 sq.ft. each ), secluded mud-and-stone cottages, each with its own plunge pool, on the shores of a lake in the grounds of a 19th-century hunting lodge.
It also features separate Mardana (male) and Zanana (female) sections to lounge around, a spa and swimming pool. Though both the lounge areas are not restricted to entry, the concept dates back to the times when Laxman Sagar served as a hunting lodge.
The style and the interiors were completed by designers; Sarthak Sengupta and Sahil Bagga who introduced the Zero Kilometer Design concept whereby all furniture and products were inspired through an understanding of local products used and produced locally.
Price for this completely Indian relaxation is around £195 ($300) per night for double room, on a bed and breakfast basis.
