About all we can talk, but when you look at the mechanism it has no more stories. It just works so like Patek, and you just can see mastery of the mechanisms! For the Only Watch 2013 charity auction, Patek Philippe has produced just one piece of titanium watch called the 5004T.
All titanium Patek Philippe watches are unique models. The last known is the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712T in titanium that was actually produced also for the Only Watch auction in 2007. It sold at an auction for $676,000.
The 5004T is a relatively small watch for men at 36.7mm wide. It has interesting features like its dial. Produced from a solid piece of gold and hand-machine engraved, the dial has a fantastic textured checker board motif in black that mixes nicely with the applied 18k white gold Arabic numeral hour markers. Calf leather with a weaved carbon fiber pattern top matched with red contrast stitching, looks a lot like something you’d find on a much less expensive watch.
The 5004 movement is based on Lemania that has a perpetual calendar module by Patek Philippe, and is thoroughly decorated and finished by Patek Philippe. It is the caliber CHR 27-70Q and comes in solid titanium caseback, as well as a version with a sapphire crystal exhibition window.
Patek Philippe Unique 5004 Split-Seconds Perpetual Calendar in Titanium is expected to reach a price of at least $905,000 at the Only Watch auction in Monaco this September.
