Lotus has released the technical details and the price of a new model Exige S Roadster, the fastest convertibles in its history, which arrives on the market this summer.
Modeled after the coupe, a topless version of the sporty two-seater also runs a 3.5 liter V6 engine, improved with Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger, and connected with the six-speed speed transmission transfered to the rear-wheel drive. 350Hp engine produces at 7000 r / min and maximum torque of 400 Nm at 4500 r / min, and the EU combined cycle (NEDC) consumes 10.1 l/60mph, with CO2 emissions of 236 grams per mile, as the coupe.
The new Exige S Roadster weighs 1166 kilograms (10 pounds less than the coupe), and up to 60mph comes in just 4 seconds and a top speed is electronically limited on 145mph. It is worth mentioning that the car comes in standard equipped with Pirelli P-Zero tires Corsa dimension 205/45 R17 front and 265/35 R18 rear, as well as daytime running lights presented in LED technology.
Lotus Exige S Roadster on the British market should be set aside £52,900 (including tax) or €55,378 (excluding VAT) in the rest of Europe or $80,000 in United States.
