Video game makers and their marketing teams in addition to new editions offered something with, which may contribute to greater popularity. So we have Call of Duty night vision goggles that shipped with CoD’s Modern Warfare 2, and the radio-controlled “surveillance vehicle” that was packed in with Black Ops, Halo special edition games in a Master Chief head and with a massive set of action figures, and copy of Gran Turismo 5 came complete with a lovely 1:43 scale Nissan GT-R.
Now Codemasters and Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has offered something we’ve never seen before for its new game The Grid 2. Its The Grid 2 Mono Edition that can be yours for just $190,000 (or you can by a Ferrari).
A little less than a new Porsche 911 Turbo S, or same sports car, you can have a copy of Grid 2 complete with original artwork, a brand new Playstation 3, a tour of the BAC factory, a Grid 2-branded racing helmet, a full racing suit with boots and gloves, and, you guessed it, a G2-liveried BAC Mono.
BAC Mono is a road-legal, ultra-high performance supercar which is shaped out of carbon fibre and the 2.3 litre, 280 bhp four cylinder power helps it to zoom from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
Codemasters claims that Grid 2, Mono Edition will set the Guinness World Record for “Most Expensive Video Game Commercial Available, Special Edition”.
