The 30L Armand de Briganc Midas Champagne bottle sold for a staggering $100,000 in Las Vegas’ on New Year’s Eve. Also, Alex Hope, a young city trader who calls himself Alex Ace Of Spades spend over $300,000 on the most expensive bill which included this Midas Champagne. Now, the same Champagne, but other wealthy young man – British entrepreneur Charles Shaker splashed out £330,000 ($500,000) on the rare Armand de Brignac Brut Gold ‘Dynastie’ collection of champagne.
The star of this rare collection which consists of nine different Brut Gold Champagne bottle sizes, was already mentioned 30L Midas – which weighs over 100lb – equivalent to 40 regular sized bottles of the exclusive bubbly. Collectively it amounts to 109 bottles of the luxury Champagne.
British entrepreneur and adviser to the ultra wealthy, partied with Hollywood stars including Leonardo DiCaprio at the Monaco Grand Prix. In front of delighted VIPs, including Formula One boss Flavio Briatore, 12 waiters suddenly carried nine different sized champagne bottles aloft into the party, hosted by the Billionaire Club Monaco. It needed four men to lug it in a golden bucket.
A stunned partygoer said: “Everyone was dancing, when the music suddenly stopped. We then saw what seemed like a never-ending stream of gold bottles being bought in. The club went crazy. Waiters were pouring champagne for everyone.”
The Billionaires Club is one of the most glamorous venues in Monaco and is often frequented by top Hollywood A-listers, famous singers and super-rich businessman.
