Money is his name. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth religion. Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, a descendant of trade clan from the desert state of Rajasthan, according to the Forbes list last year was the world’s fifth richest and the richest man in Europe and Asia.
This fifty-six years old, whose wealth is estimated at $23.5 billion is the head of the world’s largest steel company, Mittal Steel. With this kind of money, it is not known why is he put his Palace Green estate in Kensington on the market, and ask for it a whooping $166 million.
He bought this property in 2008 from Israeli-American financier Noam Gottesman for $176.55 million. The estate boasts 12 bedrooms, and is spread well over 14,736 sq ft, in one of the world’s most expensive and posh real estate zones. This Palace Green mansion have large spaces dedicated for art storage, children’s room, flower room, and also a silver room.
There is a special wing of the house dedicated to Mrs. Mittal as a ‘dressing wing’, and a large part of the ground floor hosts a huge master bedroom suite, but word has it that the family never really got to stay at this palace.
The Mittal family is currently based in another mansion in the the Kensington Gardens area of London, UK. In addition to these properties Mittal owns the Amevi yacht, 8 other mansions around the world, with 2 being in India and a majority of them based in the UK.
