From August 1-3, 2013 in California, Auctions America will offer, among others, the beautiful 1952 Jaguar XK120 Roadster. The car has been fully restored with perfect body and paint work, new upholstery and interior kit with new canvas top.
The Jaguar has a new intake manifold, 3,442-cc, 160-hp DOHC inline six-cylinder engine, new ignition system, rebuilt original SU carbs, new generator and voltage regulator, rebuilt original water pump, original radiator, new speedometer and tachometer cables, new harmonic balancer, new motor mounts, new electric fuel pump and new battery.
The roadster has received new brake master cylinders, new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes and new brake hoses. The steel-disc wheels are fitted with period correct Universal tires. It was originally purchased from the renowned Max Hoffman dealership in New York, and now is being offered by the second owner, who buy the car from the original owner in August 2008.
It is completed to replicate car number 670005. Just to mention that in 1949 the first production roadster, chassis number 670003, was delivered to Clark Gable.
