Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is a brand of premium champagne. Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played an important role in establishing champagne as a favored drink of haute bourgeoisie and nobility throughout Europe. The 1811 comet vintage of Veuve Clicquot is theorized to have been the first truly modern Champagne due to the advancements in the méthode champenoise which Veuve Clicquot pioneered through the technique of remuage.
Logical step that follows is the partnership of this esteemed brand and most appreciated brand in the automotive industry, Ferrari. Many don’t know that the Duchess d’Uzès, successor and great-granddaughter of Madame Clicquot Ponsardin, was the first licensed racing driver in France. Of course in Monte Carlo you will find both brand in abundance.
In Monte Carlo they announced a new global partnership. They have planed to collaborate on classic car events, racing spectacles, new model launches for Ferrari, and a variety of lifestyle events to follow. The design teams at Ferrari and Veuve also plan on innovating extraordinary and celebratory new creations.
“Veuve Clicquot is proud to become the event partner of Ferrari and is looking forwardto share its excellence and ‘Art de Vivre’ throughout worldwide events,” said Jean-Marc Lacave, President of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin. Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo, added that “Ferrari chooses its partners exclusively among leading companies, and Veuve Clicquot is with certainty a brand of excellence in the special Champagne World.”
