Zagato has also joined the celebration of the 100 anniversary of Aston Martin, with two special centenary editions of Aston Martin models. Zagato and Aston Martin have a long history of being involved in the production of a very special and limited series of Aston Martin car, from Zagato DB4 to V12 Zagato. With that in mind, it really is no surprise that the Zagato special models made in honor of this great anniversary. Zagato has presented Aston Martin DBS Coupe and DB9 Volante (both with 6.0L V12 engine with 510 horses), which, however, will remain unique.
Of course, both are already sold. DBS Coupe was made for an unnamed young Japanese entrepreneurs, while the DB9 Volante for known car collector Peter Read. DBS Coupe Zagato, of course, has Zagato trademark, “double bubble” roof, and in Zagato said that the goal was to enrich DBS sports styling and feel of a luxury GT’s. On the other hand, the DB9 Volante blending DNA of Aston Martin and Zagato, that combines Zagato elegance design with the power and prestige of Aston Martin. Both of these cars, next month, should be exposed at the traditional event on Pebble Beach in America.
