Greece is the southernmost country of the Balkan Peninsula. The climate is Mediterranean, with mild rainy winters and hot, sunny summers. Nowadays because of country’s crisis they offered some of their properties on sale. They, began selling off their island. Spalatronisi the first Greek island that is likely to be sold through public auction and it is expected that the initial price will be $13.2 million.
Auction is scheduled for September, and as Stavros Mironidis reported, owner of auction house “Miro Antik Haus,” for this island are interested and Greek and foreign buyers. This is the largest of the three islands that form the group Spalathronisia near the Halkidiki peninsula in northern Greece. “The auction will be facilitated by the bureaucratic procedures for the sale of islands,” says Mironidis.
