The Mecum auction which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on the Del Monte Golf Course from August 15-17 will offer over 40 pristine and rare examples of Porsche. Everything will be televised on the Velocity Channel and offer will include such examples like 1955 550 Spyder, 1964 356c Coupe, as well as a number Porsche 911 coupes, targas and convertibles.
This is the 5 Monterrey auction which features over 700 cars on consignment. Beside Porsches, there are a number of 1960s Detroit muscle cars, vintage Jaguars, Ferraris and a wide range of race cars including a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 and the Lotus Type 95T John Player Special Driven by Nigel Mansell in 1984 Formula One World Championships.
