Mercedes SLC is upcoming sports model of the German company that has codenamed C190, be the main rival to the Porsche 911, and will be positioned below the SLS AMG. There may not be classy door in the form of a bird’s wings as SLS, but the design is inspired by the model, which will be visible on the long bonnet and profiles lines. It will be based on a short version of the same chassis that has SLS, which will help the manufacturer from Stuttgart to reduce costs.
As the price is concerned, the SLC will be more than twice cheaper than SLS and with a starting price of around $122,000 will be able to cope with 911. It is expected to appear more expensive versions, including the Black Series version, whose price could reach as much as $185,000. “Heart” of SLC will be the new 4.0-liter V8 with two turbochargers, which develops the Mercedes AMG four-wheel vehicles including the next generation C63 AMG model. SLC should make about 480 hp, while with the AMG Performance package can have more than 500 horses.
