Traditionally, Montblanc will participate within the Fifth “Only Watch” charity auction in support of in-depth research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Montblanc will donate their new chronograph Nicolas Rieussec Rising Hours, which was presented to the public during the last exhibition SIHH, for the upcoming auction, scheduled for 28 September, 2013.
This stunning timer features a black dial with a grain d’orge guilloché décor which ranks among the most traditional decorative techniques in the art of watchmaking. It is encased in stainless steel with a glossy DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) finish. The 43mm in diameter and 15.1mm in thickness stainless steel case with a glossy DLC («Diamond Like Carbon») finish. The case is protected on both sides with sapphire crystals and it is constructed to resist water pressure of up to 30 meters (about 100 feet). On its back the words ‘ONLY WATCH ’ 13 UNIQUE PIECE are engraved.
When talking about innovations, its hour numerals change colour depending on the time of day or night, thanks to the new manufacture calibre MB R220. The numerals are blue during night time hours and black during the day. Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Rising Hours for Monaco comes on the black alligator-skin strap complete with a contrasting red-gold coloured stitching.
