Although just opened in October last year, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto has already been awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award. The brand new Hotel earned award only reserved for a select 0.3% of 59,000 AAA approved hotels and restaurants. Currently, just 125 hotels and 53 restaurants hold the AAA Five Diamond rating. “This award is a reflection of our dedication to exceptional service, quality product and genuine hospitality for every guest,” Dimitrios Zarikos, Regional Vice President and General Manager of the hotel, said. “The Five Diamond Rating acknowledges the hard work and dedication of our entire team.”
Luxury Hotel features 259 guest rooms, a 30,000 square foot (2,800 square metre) luxury Spa, glass enclosed event rooms and signature Café Boulud and dbar by international restaurateur and Chef Daniel Boulud. In an age where most travelers refer to online consumer reviews before booking, Five Diamond status is still important to high-end travelers, says luxury travel agent Laura Allen of Atlanta-based Century Travel.
“Sometimes, we (travel agents) need ways to describe a property and by saying, ‘It’s Five Diamond,'” she says. “It helps us make a sale. It validates a property in the mind of a client. It’s instant affirmation and clout that the place is going to be good.”
