After the new generation of S-Class sedan, which was promoted May 15 in Hamburg, Mercedes is preparing to roll out new S-class coupe. S-Class Coupe will replace the current Mercedes CL, and according to some earlier announcements the premiere of the new Mercedes Coupe will be held in September at the 2013 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. Initially, the S-Class Coupe will be available in versions S500 Coupe, with 4.7-liter V8 petrol engine with 335 kW/455HP and 700 Nm and a hybrid S400 Coupe Hybrid in combination of 3.5-liter V6 engine with 225 kW/306HP and electric motors, and later coming new versions which will include diesel engines, and AMG versions.
Also on offer will be versions with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. According to current information, the S-Class Coupe will be lighter than the current Mercedes CL, while consumption should be reduced to 20%. In the end, the Mercedes prepare the S class Convertible, which can be expected to arrive in the spring in 2014.
