Recent years the name of Steve McQueen is increasingly in the media. His acting oeuvre is known all over the world, and many admirers of his work, today with great pleasure talk that his films are characterized as the best ever. His passion for cars and bikes has always attracted huge public attention. Throughout his lifetime, he owned more than 60 rare vehicles including a 1951 Hudson Hornet, a 1956 GMC Suburban, a 1931 Lincoln Club Sedan, a 1946 Willys Jeep and a 1935 Chrysler Airflow Imperial Sedan. Many of his vehicles were sold at auction for big bucks.
Now you can own his personal pickup camper. The actor’s 1952 forest green Chevy 3800 pickup, fitted with a custom all-metal camper, was up for auction last month in Santa Monica, CA, but according to Mecum Auctions it may still be up for grabs. The camper, made of galvanized metal and aluminum, includes a double-sided bed, storage cabinets, drawers, shelves and heavy-duty diamond plated bumper. McQueen mostly used the truck for cross-country camping trips.
