Mercedes CL Class is soon going to the history, but how it looks his successor, hardly anyone will therefore be disappointed. Coupe version of the new Mercedes S -class is one of the cars which until recently we did not know with certainty whether it will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It is a concept car, while the production model will be unveiled in early 2014 at the Detroit Auto Show. Since the concepts that Mercedes is announcing its production models do not differ substantially from the later production versions, it can be assumed that the concept faithfully reflects car that will be shown in 2014.
Stylish coupe version is different from the new S-Class sedan. However in size, technology and luxury features is no doubt that this is the Mercedes of the highest class. Classic, elongated, sporty lines, length 5,050 mm, width 1,985 mm, height 1,409 mm has an extended arches front and rear wings, with 21 inch alloy wheels. The front part is accentuated by protruding grille, accompanied by a long hood with low silhouette of the car that ended with very sloped rear window and short trunk lid. The car is designed so that it is difficult to find the angle at which it does not look perfect. Minimalist interior style roughly resembles on the new S- Class.
This is evident in the digital instrument cluster composed of two large screen of 12.3 inches and the 4 central air vents and a set of commands that are below them. Mercedes in the interior used brushed and polished aluminum and leather, with which are upholstered seats, armrests in the doors, as well as parts of the instrument panel. The car also have two stereo cameras to provide 3D view of the area up to 50 m in front of the car, detecting objects and movements in the area. In this way, the driver is alerted to the barriers that may pose a threat. Mercedes S Class Coupé Concept is powered by a 4.7 -liter Bi- turbo V8 engine with 455 hp ( 339 kW ) and 700 Nm of torque.
