After 90M/SYD – superyacht concept characterized by simple lines and incredible external spaces, presented earlier this year, Zuccon SuperYacht Design now presents its new project: a 92 SYD Discovery at the Monaco Yacht Show. This 92 meters long and 13,50 m large M/Y, with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure is the final result of a research on new yacht typologies that led to an evolution of the onboard space organization. This latest project has been an entirely different from the previous one.
The style reminds, to a certain extent, the military vessels with their distinctive vertical bow, while at the same time it draw inspirations from civil architecture concepts, where the relationship between full and empty, material and non material, becomes predominant. Her main featuring elements is the unusual switch of the typical external spaces’ functions; swimming pool, outdoor living and sunbathing areas are moved from stern to bow, for a maximum privacy, while the aft part on the Main Deck is now being used as a ‘technical space’ (for toys, tenders and so on).
The 92 Discovery is developed on to six full decks. Both the Sub Deck and the Lower Deck are exclusively dedicated to the technical spaces and the crew, with the exception of the extreme STERN part, in which a beach club, with a spa zone is placed, that can be enjoyed also while sailing (thanks to the two large window placed on the transom).
The Main Deck displays a large living area with cinema, forward, while the six guest cabins and the two VIP cabins – these with their own private terrace- are located on aftward. Quite originally, at the extreme stern has been placed two ten meters tenders, in addition to the tenders & toys in the Lower Deck. Zuccon SuperYacht Design is the new brand from Zuccon International Project, entirely dedicated to research and development of new maxi yachts.
