Auctions America will offer at Fall Carlisle auction from October 3-4, a part of american history, the beautiful 1961 Chrysler 300G. This stunning car is different from its predecessor by Virgil Exner’s fins, new front end with canted quad headlamps and a new rear treatment. The 1961 300G accelerates from 0 to 60-mph in 8.4-seconds, pretty good for an old guy, don’t you think.
This specific car is fully restored example with the 413-cid Cross Ram V-8 engine that produces 375 horsepower and is mated to a Torqueflite automatic transmission. It is one of 1,280 300G Coupes built in 1961 and received power options like power seats, windows, brakes and steering.
