Famous musician Jay Z is also a known as a serious watch aficionado and collector. So, no wonder his lates partnership with Swiss watchmakers Hublot for a new line of luxury watches. Dubbed as “Shawn Carter by Hublot” Classic Fusion watches, new line is designed by Jay Z himself (his real name is Shawn Corey Carter) and produced by Hublot.
The limited edition wristwatch comes in either black ceramic or 18k gold, with a custom 45mm dial and Hublot’s HUB1300 hand-wound movement with a 90 hour power reserve. The movement is visible through the special logo on the front, plus a viewing window on the reverse. The Black ceramic version, limited to 250 pieces, will run you close to $18,000. The yellow gold edition, limited to 100 pieces, will cost you $34,000.
Jay Z and Hublot will launch the watch collection together with the Barney’s “A New York Holiday” shopping experience at the New York Store that the rapper has curated himself. The launch takes place on November 20. [Source: Hodinkee]
