Masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh, Camille Pissarro, and Auguste Rodin will be highlight at upcoming Bonhams Impressionist & Modern Art auction, scheduled for November 5, 2013. “We are pleased to offer a fine selection of paintings, drawings and sculpture many of which are coming to the market for the first time in decades,” said Tanya Wells, Bonhams Impressionist & Modern Art Specialist.
Coming directly from private collections, the exceptional highlights include van Gogh’s 1882 Two Women in a Wood, a pivotal composition estimated to fetch $200,000-300,000; Camilie Pissarro’s Le Jardin de Maubuisson, Pontoise, la mère Bellette, estimated to fetch $1,5 – 2 million. Other notable pieces offered on sale include Max Pechstein’s Jeune Filles, estimated at $300,000-400,000 and Henri le Sidaner’s 1922 Les Jets d’Eau, Versailles.
