The main star at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be Candice Swanepoel. South African supermodel will follow in the footsteps of signature Victoria’s Secret Angels like Alessandra Ambrosio and Miranda Kerr to parade in the enviable Fantasy Bra, a tradition that dates back to the 1996 show when Claudia Schiffer first sported the “Million Dollar Miracle Bra.
Designed by jeweler Mouawad, this year’s $10 million edition, dubbed the “Royal Fantasy Bra” complete with a bow and matching belt, includes over 4,200 precious gems including rubies, diamonds and yellow sapphires set in 18-carat gold. And, there’s the 52 karat, pear-shaped ruby hanging down from the center of the bra. So, no wonder why the sexy Angel admits that walking around in a $10 million look makes her nervous.
This year’s catwalk event will air on CBS on December 10.
