It’s not quite a car, not quite a bike…it’s Quadzilla! Some of you may know French custom car and motorcycle builder Lazareth because of their crazy creations, such this last one – a custom made four-wheeler that can hit 150mph thanks to its Ferrari derived engine. The oddly-named Wazuma V8F Matte Edition is based on the Wazuma R1, a similar model but with a Yamaha R1 engine.
Instead of the motorcycle unit, the Wazuma V8F features a 3.0-liter Ferrari V8 engine that produces 250bhp mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox sourced from a BMW M3. In all, it weighs just 650kg, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 3.4kg:kW – similar to a Ferrari F40. This gives the Wazuma a power-to-weight ratio of 384 bhp per ton, the same as a current Ferrari 458 Spider. Other interesting features include a set of 18-inch Momo alloy wheels, huge 315/30 tyres, and a set of Brembo 324mm brakes.
Wazuma V8F still remains to be the most expensive quad-bike as it comes with a price tag of $250,000.
Previously Lazareth built the Wazuma R1 quad using a Yamaha R1 engine and built the FZR Turbo bike for the film “Babylon AD” and an impressive supercharged Buell XB12S in 2007.
