Ten years after its initial release, Chanel‘s popular ceramic timepiece, the J12 experienced night vision transfiguration. Once again, Chanel’s love of astrology, has been incorporated into new collection of J12 watches presented with Moonphase complications. The watch displays the different phases of the moon: new moon, first quarter, full moon and the last quarter, through a disc on its watch face, resembling a starry night’s sky. It differs from classic moonphase watches where the phases appear through an aperture. A central hand, tipped with a crescent moon, indicates the date.
A number of versions have been released, from a classic white and black ceramic versions, to a totally jewel encrusted limited edition models (white gold and titanium ceramic, inlaid with 554 or 696 baguette-diamonds). Both are limited editions of 12 and 5 respectively.
